Covid-19 Information

Covid-19 vaccines will be offered to around one million adults in Kent and Medway. Nationally set prioritisation is being used to co-ordinate who is offered the vaccines and when.

Patients will be contacted when the vaccine is available for them.

We will be contacting patients either by text message, telephone call or letter. Patients can tell if the text message is genuine as the message will show as being sent from ‘Bearsted Medical Practice’. The NHS will never ask for payment or banking details or ask patients to call a premium rate phone number.

Information  about Covid 19 vaccines, pregnancy and breastfeeding from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists can be found via this link – https://www.rcog.org.uk/en/guidelines-research-services/coronavirus-covid-19-pregnancy-and-womens-health/covid-19-vaccines-and-pregnancy/covid-19-vaccines-pregnancy-and-breastfeeding/.

Once you have received the full two dose Covid vaccination, you will be able to show your vaccination status via the NHS app, or by requesting a letter of proof via NHS England. You can call the NHS helpline on 119 (from 17 May) and ask for a letter to be posted to you.
